about

Thrash out irreverent noise rock kings of fuckedupness don’t disappoint here but I must say that I never caught on to the swampabilly aspect of these guys til now a la Pussy Galore, all things John Spencer (“Ba-LOOOOZ EXPLOSION!”). The first track makes it apparent and I suspect that its named with that in mind. Great stuff, short tracks make it easy to fulfill your afile requirement during your indie rock set. No, no, I’m serious. It will fit purrrrr-fectly……

1) “Fork in Your Pussy” may very well be titled cuz it sounds like Pussy Galore with a fork stuck in it: garbage can distorto blues taken to the next level beyond what Neil Haggarty and John Spencer imagined
2) thrash out noise rock, screamo ouchiness
3) dirgey noise rock with a certain swamp
4) chugs but just cuts off cold and quick (wonder if this is a fucked up transfer? Ah, silly me to think such a thing. These fuckers are weird, they are my brothers, my bruthas. They are far-out freaky and killer!)

"KK RAMPAGE unleash a new EP of absolute terror, and the bands first true sell-out effort. Recorded by the man they call "The Next Steve Albini", Sides E & F is the heaviest record this side of 1977. It not only continues the amazing growth KK has shown since replacing the original drummer, but also takes it to a startling new level. Louder than sound and brighter than the sun, this record will blast you through the gates of Valhalla. Imagine SUN RA crossed with a gasoline fire, imagine THE BEATLES...actually in a gasoline fire (Steve Albini, 2007).

Just check the critics

-- "They're seriously a bunch of no talent hacks." -- Liz Armstrong (Chicago Reader)

"America has run out of ideas. Anyone whose heard KK RAMPAGE will agree with me." -- Tony Herrington (The Wire)

"Those poor, poor instruments." -- Greg Kot (Chicago Tribune).
